things that make me smile

finding a new color palette,

uncovering love notes in the garden,

running into this guy on the sidewalk,

watching fireworks from the overlook,

a surprising song,

so many of my paintings in the kitchen,

and enjoying bold colors in the sunshine!

Reflections,

giants guarding the front yard, 

downtown sunsets,

new paints,

purple clematis,

camouflage,

and flowers that remind me of gumdrops!

the sweet smell of peonies,

loads of veggies in our csa (community supported agriculture),

close-ups,

my favorite color palette,

walking my garden path each morning,

and summertime dinner parties on balconies!

the scent of pink roses,

Pink peonies, 

the newest addition to our home...Brian's Grandfather's newly refurbished bass,

browsing record shops and finding lovely new albums,

fish ornaments in the neighbor's garden,

bright summer colors on my most recent paint palette,

long walks with skirts and sandals,

vegetables growing in my garden (basil, tomato, mint and lettuce),

flowers like stars,

and brilliant orange calla lilies!

Bicycles with baskets,

lampposts, 

children's drawings cherished in shop windows,

graffiti love,

red painted doors,

grilled apples,

and lilies like peppermint candies!

inspired by the little things

magnolia blooms and blue skies,

painted doorways,

the sweet smell of hyacinth,

long drives and red barns,

fancy dresses,

buttercup yellow,

and fields of flowers!
